The Microsoft Your Phone Companion App is something that I find to be very useful, and I think
that anybody (who owns an Android phone) would think so too. It allows you to have access to the
main things that you would use on your phone that would normally not be available on your
computer, but with the ability to now do it on your computer. This makes it useful for things such as text verification codes
for 2-F.A., trying to add a photo you recently took to something (etc...). It is also secure
as it is not synchronised accross all of your computers.
This app is also -- unfortunately for those iPhone users that also use a Windows PC -- only
available for Google's Android. You may originally think that this is a way of Microsoft wanting
iPhone users to migrate to Android, but it actually isn't this; it's actually because Apple
is very strict about an applications permissions, and, as this one allows for it to see some
personal information (texts, photos, etc...), Apple doesn't allow it. Even if Microsoft were
to ask Apple, they probably still would't be allowed as they are not particularly the best of
friends. This is somewhat peculiar, however, that Windows Phones are not compatible with this,
as Microsoft made them, but most are led to believe that it is because Microsoft no longer
supports Windows Phone.
