Lubuntu is an operating system that is reasonably fast on old computers. This comes at the cost of some other things, such as the operating system not looking particularly aesthetically pleasing, but it does what you wnat it to do and is a regular linux OS that's based on what every linux OS is based on: Ubuntu.
Overall, I think that it is a reasonable operating system if you have a computer that is slow and may not run Windows well.
